Pulse Engineering Inc. has announced the release of its series of line transformers designed specifically for use with Centillium Communications Inc.'s CT-L51ST81, CT-L52SU81, and CT-L61ST81 ADSL chipsets.

These surface-mount devices are used isolate the telephone line from the analog driver and receiver.

The BX2258 and BX2358 transformers have an inductance value of 5mH and provide a turns ratio of 1:1. The BX2259 and BX2353 provide an inductance value of 55H and 1:2.125 turns ratio.

The components also offer a total harmonic distortion <-85dB and a longitudinal balance <-40dB, thereby improving reach and providing better transmission service. The line transformers also provide supplementary insulation with a minimum working voltage of 250V and an isolation voltage of 1.875kVrms.

The transformers are rated for operation from -400C to 850C and carry UL, BABT, and T\V quality and safety approvals.
