Virage Logic, Nassda partner on embedded memory IP

Virage Logic has integrated Nassda Corp.'s HSIM analysis software with its Embed-It! software, an embedded memory design platform.

The combination of Virage Logic's Embed-It! memory compilation and characterization software with Nassda's HSIM circuit simulator is expected to produce embedded memory IP that closely reflects actual silicon.

"By working with Virage Logic, we have created a solution that enables designers to accurately characterize their memories across a range of process, voltage, and temperature conditions," said Sang Wang, CEO, Nassda. "By taking into account important post-layout effects, this analysis has increased accuracy which helps designers achieve timing and power budgets for the entire chip," Wang added.
