The MAX6709 and MAX6714 quad voltage monitors from Maxim Integrated Products provide fixed thresholds to monitor 1.8V to 5V supplies and adjustable thresholds for monitoring voltages down to 0.62V.

Available in 10-pin 5MAX packages, both devices are designed to monitor low voltage systems in telecommunication, networking equipment, storage devices, printers, and PCs.

Whenever any of the four monitored voltages for the MAX6709 falls below its threshold, its respective active-low power-good output asserts and stays asserted until the monitored voltage exceeds the threshold.

For the MAX6714, if the Vcc falls below its threshold, the reset output asserts and remains asserted for at least 140ms after Vcc exceeds its threshold. The IC also has three power-fail comparators to monitor three independent voltages down to 0.62V.

Both devices have active-low, open-drain outputs with 105A internal pullup to Vcc. The internally trimmed thresholds and weak internal pullups minimize the need for external components.

Prices for both devices start at $2.50 for quantities of 1,000 units and up.
