Based on an Intel 815 chipset with a C-ICH communications controller, the EPC-2325 PCI/ISA PICMG single-board computer (SBC) from RadiSys Corp. is targeted for OEMs developing communications products for enterprise applications such as unified messaging systems, automatic call distribution equipment, and encryption processing systems.

The module integrates dual 10/100 Ethernet ports and optional Ultra160 LVD SCSI interface with processors ranging from an 850MHz Celeron through a 1.26GHz Pentium III processor. It supports a maximum of 512MB using PC133 SDRAM, and provides system monitoring and a dual-programmable watchdog timer.

The SBC also offers a full set of I/O interfaces including 64mA ISA bus drive capability, 32-bit, 33MHz PCI bus interface, dual USB ports, dual ATA/100 IDE, dual serial ports, a parallel port, an SMbus interface, and a PS/2 port for keyboard and mouse.

A 12-bit GPIO port provides an interface for I/O functions and LED control, and can also be used to drive a LCD character display for diagnostic output.

The EPC-2325 has a target lifetime of five years and is priced starting at $382 with an 850MHz Celeron processor. The module with a 1.26GHz Pentium III processor and SCSI interface is quoted at $768.
