Integrated Device Technology Inc. (IDT) and Jungo Software Technologies Inc. have extended their commitment to provide solutions for communications applications through a jointly developed platform for WLAN, SOHO and residential gateways.

The platform includes Jungo's OpenRG Linux-based software solution and IDT's RC32334 integrated communications processor. The OpenRG product features a set of software drivers, protocols and system management software, and supports IDT's RC32334 processor-powered 79S334J evaluation board.

The most recent joint effort builds on the previous engineering program that resulted in the optimization of Jungo's OpenRG product for the 79RP351 and 79RP355 ADSL-based reference designs. The IDT/Jungo partnership intends to provide solutions with a range of common software packages across IDT's family of integrated communications processors to enable faster development of a diverse set of CPE.

In addition, Jungo's OpenRG software is optimized for IDT's RC32332 integrated communications processor, appropriate for wireless access points that address lower system functionality and performance points.
