Developed using quartz micromachining and hermetically sealed ceramic package technologies, Statek Corp.'s high-performance HGXO high-shock crystal oscillator has survived the U.S. Army's shock testing up to 100,000G.

Exhibiting low aging characteristics, the oscillator is fit for low-power and high-shock applications, the company said. The frequency-control device, with a footprint of 5-by-7.5mm and a maximum height of 2.5mm, features a total tolerance as low as 120ppm over a temperature range of -400C to 850C.

Available in frequencies from 2MHz to 50MHz, the HGXO is priced starting at $20. Lead time is eight to 10 weeks. Samples are available.
