Integrated Circuit Solution Inc. (ICSI) has announced that it is sampling the IC9000 Bluetooth baseband and link management controller chip that supports the Bluetooth 1.1 specification, and is designed for integration into headset application, as well as PC peripherals such as mouse and keyboards.

Aside from the USB 1.1 (12Mbps) interface, the chip also integrates UART (921.6Kbps), UART, and PCM interfaces, as well as an embedded Turbo 8052 microcontroller core. The IC9000 also has 32KB of SRAM, 128KB of ROM to replace Flash and an embedded 2.5V regulator, allowing manufacturers to use a single 3.3V single power source instead of a dual power source.

The chip also features a built-in RF power control function that supports low-power mode and is claimed by the company to support all packet types to meet the needs of different design platforms.
