Winland Electronics Inc. has announced the availability of the WMC140 series of dc motor controller for use with battery-powered brush-type permanent magnet dc (PMDC) that require forward and reverse control.

The device offers variable speed operation through MOSFET PWM technology with direction control, thermal overload shutdown and provide adjustable current limit fold-back to protect against excessive motor current from high starting or stall conditions.

The controller is available with input voltages of 12V or 24V, and produces a continuous output current of 24A. It has an on-board 5-kiloohm potentiometer for speed adjustment, while an external potentiometer is also optional. The device is rated for operation from 00C to 500C.
