Agere selects LTX test systems for RF facilities

Agere Systems has installed LTX Corp.'s Fusion CX Test Systems in its Pennsylvania and Singapore facilities to test its advanced RF devices for cellular and wireless networks.

The Fusion Test Platform, which includes the Fusion HF and CX, offers a single test platform that allows customers to select the most suitable configuration to meet their economic and performance requirements while enabling their technology roadmap for the future.

"Agere Systems aims to develop and release sophisticated RF technologies at the lowest possible cost," commented Stan Swearingen, VP and general manager of Agere's Computing Connectivity Division. "Our test solution must have the capability and flexibility to quickly address our dynamic 802.11 device portfolio, without forcing us to compromise on the quality or cost of the test.
