Display Werks 24-inch LCD monitor displays 16.7 million colors

Display Werks Inc. has announced the addition of a 24-inch open-frame LCD monitor to complement its retail and kiosk open-frame LCD monitor line. The device displays 16.7 million colors and offers a luminance of 220cd/m?.

The 24-inch display supports analog RGB (computer graphics), s-video, composite, component, SDI (SMPTE 259M digital video), HD-SDI (SMPTE 292 digital video), and 5-part High-Definition video (1080i) inputs, and can mounted flush to a surface, rear-panel mounted, front-panel mounted or VESA-mounted to a VESA-standard device.

The device measures 406.4-by-609.6-by-66.04mm and offers minimum horizontal and vertical viewing angle of 1600. It operates from a 12Vdc external power supply but is also available in 24V configurations.

An optional surface acoustic wave touch screen for interactive applications is available. In addition, the company will also offer serial control code for the LCD panel to developers of GUIs to enable features such as video switching at the panel and control of picture-in-picture windows.
