The Pivot Block terminal block from Tyco Electronics is based on a 3.5mm centerline design and accepts solid or stranded 26AWG wires such as those found in power supplies and telecommunication equipment.

Wires are terminated to the Pivot Block connectors with a tool-less insulation displacement contacts (IDC) that are rated for up to 10 insertion cycles. Test points for each contact are also included on the wire stuffer to allow for simple field-testing.

The IDCs is made of phosphor bronze with tin-lead plating. They are rated for up to 2.5A, 250V.

The product is available in two to 16 positions and can be shipped with flanged or flat ends. The flanged version allows designers to mechanically attach the terminal block to accompanying header with an M2.5 fixing screw.
