Rowe uses Altera devices on latest FPGA boards

Rowe Engineering will use Altera Corp.'s Stratix devices for their latest Q5 series of FPGA development boards.

Rowe's FPGA boards leverage the LVDS channels in Stratix, allowing for 840Mbps transfer rate on a multitude of inputs. According to Altera, Stratix devices are designed to meet the needs of demanding designs by incorporating advances in memory design, processing power, and I/O flexibility.

"Rowe's leadership in DSP technology is a perfect match for the Stratix device family," said Steve Mensor, senior director of product marketing at Altera. "We are proud to see Rowe Engineering help designers use Stratix devices that can be used at the center of high-bandwidth systems to accelerate performance and enable new functionality."
