The OPA334 and OPA335 zero-drift operational amplifiers from Texas Instruments Inc. feature a quiescent current of 3005A, making them suitable for use in power-sensitive applications such as handheld test equipment, medical instrumentation, transducer signal amplification, automotive systems and battery-powered instruments.

A part of the company's Burr-Brown product line, the amplifiers offer a rail-to-rail output swing within 10mV of the rails and use auto-zeroing techniques to provide a typical offset voltage of 15V. They also have a drift of 0.025V/0C.

The OPA334 includes a shutdown mode allowing it to be switched from normal operation to a standby current that is <15A.

Both amplifiers operate on single or dual supplies from 2.7V (11.35V) to 5.5V (12.75V) over the temperature range of -400C to 1250C.

The OPA334 (single version with shutdown) comes in a SOT23-6, while the OPA335 (single without shutdown) is packaged in a SOT23-5 and SO-8. Both are priced at 95 cents in 1,000-piece quantities.

Also available are the OPA2334 (dual with shutdown) which comes in an MSOP-10 package and the OPA2335 (dual without shutdown) which is packaged in MSOP-8 and SO-8 casings. They are priced at $1.50 in 1,000-piece quantities.
