Samtec board connectors suit high vibration apps

Samtec has announced a series of one-piece interface board connectors that withstand high shock and high vibration applications. The connectors are also claimed by the company to improve quality elastomeric systems and pin-and-socket systems due to their more reliable connections and the elimination of bent pins.

The FSI series of dual-row interfaces on 1mm pitch provide a range of board spacings from 3mm, 6mm, and 10mm between boards with up to 40 pins per row. For low profile applications on 1mm pitch, the SEL series (0.635mm and 1.27mm spacings) and SEI series (1.65mm spacing) are available with up to 30 contacts in a single row.

On 2.54mm pitch, systems include the SCC series of Smart Card interfaces and the OPP series of one-piece power interfaces for specialty applications.
