Matsushita licenses MOSAID's patent portfolio

MOSAID Technologies Inc. has signed a worldwide, non-exclusive patent licensing agreement with Matsushita Electric Ind. Co. Ltd.

According to MOSAID, this is a milestone for the company since Matsushita is the first semiconductor company that is not a major commodity DRAM manufacturer to license its patent portfolio. This presents MOSAID with a new market for their IP, believing that many companies use embedded DRAM chips in a variety of semiconductor products which include consumer goods such as DVD players and recorders, digital camcorders, and advanced cellular telephones, as well as computing and networking applications.

To date, MOSAID has signed comprehensive patent licensing agreements with Fujitsu, NEC, Toshiba, Hitachi, Mitsubishi Electric and Oki Electric. MOSAID currently has a portfolio of 350 issued and pending patents.
