ISSI asynchronous SRAMs operate from 1.6V to 3.6V

Integrated Silicon Solution Inc. has announced the availability of its PowerSaver family of asynchronous SRAMs that operate from 1.6V to 3.6V and are suitable for use in next-generation cellphones, as well as wireless handheld equipment and other portable applications.

Manufactured using a 0.155m process, the 8Mb devices draw 105A to 15mA of operating current and are offered in 512K-by-8 and 1M-by-8 configurations. They are offered in 45ns, 55ns, and 70ns speeds, and also feature data control for upper and lower bytes.

For quantities of 10,000, the IS62WV51216ALL, IS62WV51216BLL, IS62WV10008ALL, and IS62WV10008BLL devices are priced at $9 and are available in 44-pin TSOP-Type II, 48-pin mini BGA, and 36-pin mini BGA packages.
