iVAST has collaborated with Sun Microsystems and Oracle Corp. of Japan to deliver MPEG 4-based interactive multimedia solutions to Japan's broadband, cable, satellite, wireless, enterprise, and digital broadcast networks. This collaboration is expected to result to a comprehensive suite of services to enable MPEG-4 content creation for broadcast, education, consumer, and entertainment platforms.

iVAST will provide their MPEG-4 software that supports the creation, distribution, and interactive viewing of digital audio and video. Oracle, on the other hand, will contribute their expertise on database architecture and content distribution networks, and Sun Microsystems will provide the server system and technical support. In addition, iVAST will integrate its MPEG-4 solutions into Oracle's content distribution network and database architecture.

"Oracle Japan welcomes this partnership with iVAST," stated Ryoichi Hori, director of broadband business development at Oracle. "By combining Oracle Japan's competence in content delivery systems and database technologies with iVAST's and our other partners' competencies, we are able to provide a set of entirely new solutions customers demand."
