Neoreach Inc., a developer of semiconductor chips for 3G wireless communication services, has signed an MOU with the RF Microelectronics Lab (RFIC) to co-develop a new RF CMOS. Under this agreement, engineering teams from Neoreach and RFIC will combine their research and design expertise, staffing, facilities, project management, and testing, in the development of the RF chipset.

This specific chipset, supporting the W-CDMA standard, will be a required component in consumer handsets and basestations managed by mobile operators supporting 3G wireless services. The two organizations will adapt the completed chipset for the Pico Cell Node-B, a small basestation used in high density areas.

"We are excited about taking our current relationship with the RFIC to such a substantial next step," said Arne Dunhem, president and CEO. "We will have daily access to some of the most forward- thinking chipset designers in the world as we embark on adding this important RF CMOS to our market offering."
