Shanghai Bell selects IDT line for next-gen transport apps

Alcatel Shanghai Bell Co. Ltd has selected Integrated Device Technology Inc.'s (IDT) octal E1 line interface unit (LIU), 2Kx2K time slot interchange (TSI) switch, and quad codec for its latest optical add/drop MUX, access network, and optical transmission system applications.

"We chose IDT's telecom products based on the delivery of their highly integrated performance and advanced feature set," said Peng Linmin, VP of Shanghai Bell. "In addition, IDT has been diligent in providing our team with local design and technical support, which has enabled us to achieve faster time to market and to further our position in China's telecommunications market."
