Hanback offers optoelectronic training kit

Hanback Electronics Co. Ltd has announced the availability of the HBE-OPT-303 optoelectronic training kit designed for university students and laboratory engineers. Doubling as a two-channel digital oscilloscope, it tests physical properties of optical products such as total reflection principles, refraction and reflection, and loss and noise.

Fitted with dual optical receivers and 1,310nm/1,550nm DWDM unit, the kit also integrates a 256Kx16 SRAM from Samsung, 8-channel 12-bit ADC, and software for controlling amplitude, frequency, and laser-diode bias current. I/O data are digitally-controlled using an integrated EP1K100QC208 FPGA from Altera.

FC/PC-SC/PC and SC/PC-SC/PC connectors are available.

The kit operates from an 85Vac to 264Vac input and produces 2.5Vdc to 12Vdc output. A function generator provides a 10Hz to 50KHz frequency range. The kit accepts sinusoidal, triangle, and square wave input signals.
