International IC-China, China's biggest exhibit of IC application technologies and high-end components, expands its reach to Guangzhou and Chengdu with IIC-China Fall 2002. The event is co-located with the 5th Annual Communications Design China Conference & Exhibition (CDC 2002) - a major event for China's fast-growing communications manufacturing industry.

The IIC-China conference puts China's engineers in contact with worldwide IC application vendors who will share their expertise and technologies. Participating companies include Tyco Electronic Circuit Protection Division, Vishay Intertechnology, Xilinx, Seiko Instruments (HK), Enhanced Memory Systems, Ramtron, and Vishay Siliconix.

The event will also feature special keynote presentations as part of the shows' conference program. Intel Communication's Patrick Li will discuss the first keynote presentation, "Seamless interaction and connectivity for a converged world." The topic deals with the evolving usage models for business and the digital home with extended wireless PCs, mobile notebooks, and portable handheld devices.

The second keynote presentation, from Dr. Kai K. Wang of STMicroelectronics, is titled "Market deployment of DSL: Lessons from case studies." The topic will reveal DSL deployment case studies in North America and Europe, highlighting problems from which the engineers can learn. It will also take a close look at competing technologies, such as cable, satellite and ISDN, and developing standards, such as G.lite and DMT Annex A,B,C, and H.

IIC-China Fall and Communications Design China 2002 will be held from September 19 to 20 in Guangzhou and from September 23 to 24 in Chengdu. Both eeEvents are organized by eMedia Asia Ltd, a Global Sources and CMP Media joint venture.
