The 5th Annual Communications Design China Conference & Exhibition brings together international technology vendors and China's top communications product engineers and manufacturers. This year's event promises to bring even more solutions to China's communications industry as Communications Design China is co-located with the International IC-China Conference & Exhibition (IIC-China Fall).

CDC 2002 is expected to deliver new design-enhancing solutions for both wireless and wireline fields. Participating companies at the various presentations include Texas Instruments, Motorola Asia-Pacific, Microtune, Radlan Computer Communication, Agilent Technologies Hong Kong, and Altera.

The event will also feature special keynote presentations as part of the shows' conference program. Intel Communication's Patrick Li will discuss the first keynote presentation, "Seamless interaction and connectivity for a converged world." The topic deals with the evolving usage models for business and the digital home with extended wireless PCs, mobile notebooks, and portable handheld devices.

The second keynote presentation, from Dr. Kai K. Wang of STMicroelectronics, is titled "Market deployment of DSL: Lessons from case studies." The topic will reveal DSL deployment case studies in North America and Europe, highlighting problems from which the Chinese engineer can learn. It will also take a close look at competing technologies, such as cable, satellite and ISDN, and developing standards, such as G.lite and DMT Annex A,B,C and H.

IIC-China Fall and Communications Design China 2002 will be held from September 19 to 20 in Guangzhou and from September 23 to 24 in Chengdu. Both eeEvents are organized by eMedia Asia Ltd, a Global Sources and CMP Media joint venture.
