ARM Ltd has added two centers in Japan to its Approved Training Center (ATC) Program. The inclusion of Tokyo-based Yokogawa Digital Computer Corp. (YDC) and ANDOR System Support to the program is aimed to enable ARM to provide targeted training to its customers in Japan.

ARM established the ATC program to provide training on the ARM technology for the company's semiconductor partners, OEMs, and design centers worldwide. Since its inception less than a year ago, the ATC program currently has three member companies in Europe. The move into Japan is expected to be the company's first step in establishing a much wider network of centers in the Asia Pacific region.

"We had an excellent year with the first centers, which are now well established in Europe, and have wanted to extend the program into the Asia Pacific region for some time," said Chris Shore, ATC program manager, ARM. "The addition of ANDOR and YDC to our ATC program is a natural extension of our existing relationships with the companies, and will allow us to better serve increasing need for ARM technology training in Japan."
