TouchSystems touch PC eyes slim kiosk designs

TouchSystems Corp. has announced the Versa Touch slim-line touch PC that features an LCD and PC module that can be configured together or up to 12ft (3.65m) apart. When configured with a 15-inch display, the system measures 396.24-by-335.28-by-63.5mm.

Targeted at slim-design kiosks and industrial applications, Versa Touch houses a Pentium III with up to 1GHz processor speed and comes built to order enabling OEMs and system integrators to purchase bare-bone systems and/or configure to meet specific customer requirements.

Options include high-bright display, front bezel, slim-type CD ROM/DVD, and LVDS kit. A Pentium 4 version will be available in Q4 2002. The TFT touchscreen LCD comes with a choice of capacitive or resistive touchscreen technology and is offered in 12-inch, 15-inch, and 17-inch display sizes.
