ISSI enhances serial EEPROM

Integrated Silicon Solution Inc. has announced that it has added features into the IS93C46A 1Kb Microwire Serial EEPROM including increasing the clock rate up to 2MHz and providing Schmitt-trigger inputs to reduce the noise interference.

The device is also claimed to offer an endurance of one million cycles per byte and is available in x8 or x16 configurations for application flexibility. It draws an active current of 0.5mA and standby current of 25A. The memory device is rated for operation over the industrial temperature range of -400C to 850C.

For quantities of 10,000, the IS93C46A is priced at 18 cents. Available packages include TSSOP, DIP, and 150mil SOP.
