Wintegra Inc. and Tundra Semiconductor have entered into a cooperative effort to enhance the performances of Wintegra's WinPath Access Packet Processor and the Tundra PowerSpan II, a PowerPC-to-PCI bus switch. The collaboration will facilitate product integration to enable designers to reduce overall component count and increase system performance while delivering and managing data traffic.
Designed for specific equipment apps, these two products can be used for ADSL concentrators, CDMA basestations, or any system that requires WinPath to be interfaced to a PCI bus.
"Because of the PowerPC compatible bus on the WinPath Access Processor, customers can use any external PowerPC bus-compatible device to directly connect to WinPath. One of the industry's most popular devices of this type is the PowerSpan II, which allows WinPath to connect to PCI," said Robert O'Dell, Wintegra VP of Marketing. "It is important to our customers that we are able to recommend this proven Tundra product to shorten their development cycles. We are looking forward to further additional design wins for WinPath and PowerSpan II." |
