Lattice completes acquisition of Cerdelinx

Lattice Semiconductor Corp., a designer of ISP programmable logic devices, FPGAs, and Field Programmable System-on-a-Chip devices, has completed the acquisition of Cerdelinx Technologies Inc. Cerdelinx is an early stage fabless semiconductor company focused on the design of application specific standard products.

As part of the acquisition, a team of 25 technical employees, currently developing a portfolio of low-power CMOS transceivers and backplane interfaces with embedded SERDES I/O to support 10Gbps applications, have joined Lattice. According to Lattice, the acquisition will enhance its silicon development efforts and delivery of programmable solutions within the OC-192, networking and storage market segments.
