GMMT dc converter delivers 28V

Packaged in a SOT23-5 casing, the G5111 step-up dc/dc converter from Global Mixed-Mode Technology Inc. operates from a 2.5V to 6.5V input and delivers up to 28V, making the IC suitable for use in PDAs, handheld computers, digital-still cameras, and mobile phones.

The device can also be used to boost white LED drivers used in mobile phones and perform 3V to 5V conversions. The G5111 draws 205A during operation and <15A during shutdown mode.
