Bourns Inc.'s TISP70xxD series of triple-thyristor integrated surge devices are billed as suiting T1/E1/E3, xDSL, and high-speed data line protection.

With working voltages of 8V and 28V (TISP7015D) and protection voltages of 15V and 38V (TISP7038D), these devices can protect against both transverse-mode (metallic) and common mode (longitudinal) surges.

The TISP70xxD products are guaranteed to withstand a 40A pulse having a 105s/7005s characteristic applied to both tip and ring terminals simultaneously.

Low off-state capacitance suits the TISP70xxD devices for use in low-voltage, high-speed transmission systems, and reduces the overall equivalent capacitance on data lines.

TISP70xxD devices come in an eight-pin surface-mount SOIC package. Pricing begins at 88 cents in lots of 25,000. Samples are now available.
