ON Semiconductor logic ICs exhibit 3.6ns delay

The company has introduced its ALVC and ALVCH series of CMOS logic devices that exhibit a maximum delay of 3.6ns at 3V, making them suitable for high-speed applications in portable and desktop PCs, video display products, and networking.

The devices provide standard bus interfacing with functions including buffers, latches and flip-flops. In addition, the ALVCH includes a bus-hold feature that enables a designer to eliminate packs of discrete resistors.

Fabricated in a 0.355m CMOS process, the devices operate from 1.65V to 3.6V and deliver industry-standard CMOS level I/O.

Both series includes a 16-bit inverting buffer (74ALVC16240 and 74ALVCH16240), noninverting buffer (74ALVC16244 and 74ALVCH16244), transceiver (74ALVC16245 and 74ALVCH16245), transparent latch (74ALVC16373 and 74ALVCH16373), and D flip-flop (74ALVC16374 and 74ALVCH16374).

The ALVC and ALVCH series are offered in TSSOP surface-mount packaging and are priced at 99 cents each in 10,000 unit quantities.
