ANADIGICS Inc. has received an order for its CDMA power amplifiers from AirPrime, a producer of CDMA data products for OEM customers, to be used for several of its PDA wireless modem platforms.
Specifically, AirPrime has selected ANADIGICS' AWT6106 PCS PA for its Helium 1x EM3000 embedded module platform family, as well as the AWT6106 and the AWT6111 cellular band power amplifiers (PAs) for AirPrime's Helium 1x EM3225 dual-band module. ANADIGICS' AWT6109 Korean PCS band module will also be used on AirPrime's PC5230 PCM/CIA wireless modem.
ANADIGICS' AWT6109 has been optimized for compatibility with CDMA handsets in Korea and China, and is fully compliant with all IS95/98 and 1XRTT CDMA system specifications. Developed using InGaP HBT (indium gallium phosphide heterojunction bipolar transistor) technology, ANADIGICS' CDMA PAs have been designed to run on low quiescent currents, thereby reducing power drain on device system batteries. |
