Acqiris SA has announced that its digitizer cards now feature the Control I/O (Ctrl I/O) front-panel system that are claimed to boost measurement throughput, simplify system integration, and facilitate synchronization with existing customer systems.

The company cliams that the DC211, DC241, and DC271 V-Class CompactPCI digitizer cards, AP1000 and AP2000 PCI analyzer cards, and DP214, DP235, and DP240 PCI digitizers will be equipped with the Ctrl I/O system.

The front-panel Ctrl I/O lines allow operators to monitor the card's status bypassing the standard software interface.

The system consists of four MMCX-type connectors on the front panel, two of which are high bandwidth paths, while the other two serve as digital control lines for monitoring or modifying the digitizer's status and configuration.

The first line allows the use of either an external clock (up to 2GHz) or a 10MHz external reference signal for applications requiring greater timing precision and stability. The second line supplies a trigger output signal. These connections synchronize the clocks and distribute a common trigger between different devices.
