VCOs hit 10Gbps and 40Gbps apps

Designed for 10Gbps and 40Gbps applications, VCOs from Agilent Technologies Inc. perform the MUX, DMUX, and clock/data recovery functions required for board and line card designs, delivering sub-50-femtosecond jitter performance.

The VCOs are available in frequencies from 9.5GHz to 43.01GHz, in T08 packages and in packages requiring an SMA connector. Products in the family include the VTO-9851, VTO-0995, VTO-1070, VTO-1990, VTO-2150, VTO-3981, and VTO-4301. A 10GHz device sells for $160 in a TO8 and $3,300 if a coaxial connector is required.
