Conexant cable modems receive DOCSIS 1.1 certification

Conexant Systems Inc. has announced that cable modems from CastleNet Technology Inc. and Belkin Components, which are both based on its single-chip cable modem and software solution, have received CableLabs DOCSIS 1.1 certifications. CastleNet's CXC150 and Belkin's F5D5530-W cable modems were based on Conexant's InfoSurge CX24943.

"In addition to these two new customer certifications, Conexant-based cable modems have been approved for deployment by five of the top multiple service operators (MSOs) in North America. said Al Servati, director of marketing, cable modem products, for Conexant's Broadband Communications Segment. "Our CX24943, along with our complete DOCSIS software product offering, enables cable modem manufacturers and MSOs to provide consumers with reliable products and services that will facilitate the growth of broadband."
