Trigen distributes Fortinet VPNs in South Korea

Trigen Infocomm, an access network systems and digital multimedia solutions provider, and U.S-based Fortinet Inc., have collaborated to mainstream information security solutions across public networks in South Korea, through the use of Virtual Private Networks (VPN).

VPNs use an encryption technology to enable secure and private communications between nodes across networks, such as the internet, as if a physically private network connected them. Under the terms of the agreement, Trigen will distribute VPN solutions by Fortinet, which features a Gigabit firewall, Intrusion Detection System (IDS), anti-virus, and content filtering.

Fortinet's network protect system solution are combined ASICs based on the Internet Computer Security Association (ICSA) standard.
