Bel Fuse Inc. has announced the availability of a pair of surface-mount transformers engineered for the ADSL and G.SHDSL capabilities of GlobespanVirata's Titanium G24 and Octane chipsets, which support both standards on a single platform.

When used with Bel's S560-6600-HB device, the chipsets are capable of delivering asymmetric data rates of up to 8Mbps, and symmetric data rates of up to 4.6Mbps when coupled with the S560-6600-HG module.

Both transformers comply with the requirements of UL1950 and EN60950 to provide a basic insulation barrier with a working voltage of 150Vrms over traditional copper-based networks. They are available in a 9.9-by-9.6-by-12.7mm EP7 package and are also suited for miniature DSLAM and remote-site DLC multiport applications.

They are specified for operation over the -40C to 85C temperature range and offer 1.5Vrms safety isolation.

In quantities of 10,000, the S560-6600-HB and S560-6600-HG are priced at 99 cents and $1.13 each, respectively.
