Namtek expands to Shanghai

Shenzhen Namtek Co. Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nam Tai Electronics Inc., has established a new office in Shanghai, China. Namtek is a software applications provider, specializing in embedded software applications for digital consumer electronics products.

For this expansion, Namtek leased about 4,518 square-feet of office space in Shanghai and has begun the recruitment of engineers. Namtek intends for its engineering team in the newly opened office to consist mostly of engineers from Shanghai as well.

The company's software development projects include the design and development of software applications for electronic organizers, health PDAs, mobile phones and electronic dictionaries.
