NEC extends license of MoSys 1T-SRAM technology

NEC Corp. has extended its license agreement with MoSys Inc., concerning the latter's 1T-SRAM memory technologies. NEC will use the licensed technology on its additional projects in embedded DRAM and logic processes with geometries down to 90nm. NEC has previously adopts MoSys' 1T-SRAM memory chips on its Nintendo GameCube.

"MoSys is proud of its contribution to the success of Nintendo GameCube," commented Mark-Eric Jones, VP and general manager of intellectual property at MoSys. "These new NEC agreements build on the production success to broaden our relationship into additional processes and geometries."
