ISSI MCP combines Flash, PSRAM

Integrated Silicon Solution Inc. has announced the availability of two MCPs that combine a 64Mb NOR-type Flash memory with a 16Mb or 32Mb Pseudo SRAM (PSRAM) and are designed for use in portable devices such as mobile phones, PDAs, GPS systems, and two-way pagers.

Functionally, the PSRAM serves as a buffer and working memory, while the NOR-type Flash memory stores the data, operation codes, and various communication protocols. The NOR-type Flash memory features user-configurable banks for flexibility.

The 65-pin BGAs support supply and I/O voltages ranging from 2.7V to 3.1V, standby and operating current of 70mA, and an access time of 70ns for both the Flash and PSRAMs.

For quantities of 10,000, the IS75V16F64GS16 (16Mb PSRAM) and IS75V16F64GS32 (32Mb PSRAM) are priced at $20 and $25, respectively.
