ON Semi LVPECL translator manages up to 10 data lines

The MC100EPT622 TTL/LVCMOS to LVPECL translator from ON Semiconductor features a 10-bit translation capability, allowing the 32-pin LQFP device to perform large-scale TTL and CMOS signal conversion into LVPECL signals in test and measurement equipment, imaging systems, and backplane transmission applications.

"The MC100EPT622 is the only translator on the market today that manages 10 data lines and enables the stable transmission of information with minimal loss to signal integrity," claimed Mike Radhanauth, ON Semiconductor market development director for the High Frequency Product Division. "By greatly reducing the need for multiple translators, the device simplifies conversion between standards and reduces overall system costs."

Operating above 1.5GHz with a typical propagation delay of 0.5ns, the translator is claimed to improve system signal timing and features an LVPECL interface that provide the maximum amount of noise immunity possible to the designer.

The MC100EPT622 is accepts an input from 3V to 3.6V and maintains a typical skew of 120ps.
