The TC1200 10-bit 1GSa/s ADC from TelASIC Communications is suitable for use in high-bandwidth applications such as multi-carrier power amplifiers (MCPAs), high-speed tester and instrumentation, satellite communications, direct RF down conversion, and radar.

The device's high sample rate is claimed to reduce data latency and allow designers to digitize high-speed analog signals while staying in the first Nyquist zone, thereby maintaining high dynamic range.

Packaged in a 27-by-27mm, 256 BGA housing, the TC1200 features an on-chip 1:4 demux, two S/H circuits, folding and interpolation quantizer, error correction circuitry, pipelined Gray code/decoder, and four LVDS outputs. The IC typically delivers 49.3dB SNR when sampling a 400MHz signal at 1GSa/s. Operating temperature range is from 0C to 85C.
