Integrated Circuit Solution Inc. has announced the availability of an MCP that stacks a NOR Flash and SRAM, and is suitable for use in portable devices such as PDAs, digital video cameras, and cellphones. The first series combines a 32Mb NOR Flash with a 4Mb or 8Mb SRAM.

The NOR Flash is manufactured using a 0.2?m process, and serves as a code/data storage memory with 85ns access speed, while the SRAM is made from a 0.15?m process and functions as a buffer/working memory with speeds of up to 70ns.

Available in a 8-by-12mm 64-ball TFBGA or lead-free package, the MCP has I/O voltages of 2.7V to 3.3V and features a standby current of 2?A for the SRAM and 5?A for the Flash memory.
