Gage 8-bit digitizer cards feature 16M acquisition memory

Gage Applied Inc. has announced the release of the CompuScope 82GC family of 2GSa/s waveform digitizer cards for the CompactPCI and PXI bus that features on-board acquisition memory of up to 16M. Also offered are models with 2M and 8M of acquisition memory.

The 6U devices are designed for use in manufacturing tests of telecom equipment, radar signal analysis, proton decay measurement, IF signal recording, and optical head test for wireless communications, data storage, and military applications.

The family supports bus mastering to provide up to 80MBps data transfer rate from the on-board memory to the host RAM. The company claims that this throughput improves the rates of GPIB-linked oscilloscopes by a factor of almost 1,000, allowing users to do automated testing at a faster rate.

Also a feature in the cards is a pre-trigger multiple record feature that allows users to capture both pre-trigger and pot-trigger data for rapidly occurring trigger events. Multi-card systems can provide up to two simultaneous channels at 2GSa/s or four simultaneous channels at 1GSa/s.

They are fully-compatible with the company's GageScope oscilloscope software and support the Windows OS including 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP.
