QuickLogic Corp. has announced that its QuickMIPS programmable SoC has been certified to support Green Hills Software's INTEGRITY RTOS and MULTI 2000 Integrated Development Environment (IDE). This combination is expected to provide embedded system designers with a complete "out-of-the-box" solution that increases design performance while reducing development time by allowing the concurrent debug of hardware and software.

By porting QuickLogic's Board Support Package (BSP) to Green Hills INTEGRITY and MULTI 2000 embedded system tools, a comprehensive suite of core and cross-development tools and utilities optimized for the MIPS processor platform is offered to developers. The BSP includes system initialization code, interrupt generation and handling code and drivers for on-chip devices (such as timers, UARTs, Ethernet MACs) and on-board devices.

"Now that QuickLogic's BSP is certified for INTEGRITY, customers can create their QuickMIPS Programmable SoC designs with industry leading, royalty-free software development tools," said Dan Mender, Director of INTEGRITY Business Development for Green Hills Software. "Using the QuickMIPS SDK as part of this environment will reduce their design time significantly, along with the end product's per-unit cost."
