Analog Devices products power Sharp camera

Sharp Corp. has selected Analog Devices Inc.'s signal processing products to be used on its latest GX10 GSM/GPRS camera phone.

Sharp has licensed the use of Analog Devices' SoftFone GSM/GPRS wireless chipset and its LCD control and power management technologies. According to Sharp, this new camera phone is the company's first device that will operate on GSM/GPRS networks used in Europe, Asia, and North America. The phone also enables users to capture and send digital still photos.
