Toshiba Corp. has announced the availability of a pair of power MOSFETs using the Slim TFP package, which the company claims to be 60 percent thinner than the current industry standard D2PAK package.

The 2SK3626 and 2SK3627 measure 10.7-by-9.2-by-1.7mm - 45 percent smaller than the company's previous generation TFP devices - and are suitable for dc/dc conversion and automotive applications. The Slim TFP packaging also provides a four-pin structure that minimizes the effects of parasitic inductances, while improving immunity to electrical noise.

Both MOSFETs have a drain-source voltage of 500V, with the 2SK3627 having a drain current of 5A and an on-resistance of 1.5 ohms. The 2SK3626 exhibits a drain current of 8A and an on-resistance of 850 milliohms.
