Marantz America, a supplier of specialist audio and high-end video components, has selected Cirrus Logic to provide DSP and audio conversion capabilities for its latest family of audio/video receivers (AVRs).

Marantz's Cirrus-powered, 6.1-channel SR7300, SR6300, SR5300, and SR4300 receivers are upgraded versions of previously released models. The enhancements are made possible by Cirrus' CS49400 and CS49329 DSPs.

The new receivers feature higher power output and greater compatibility with the latest surround sound formats, such as 6.1 Dolby Digital EX and Dolby Pro Logic II. The units also include enhancements such as 24-bit, 192kHz D/A conversion on all channels (all models except the SR4300) and other advanced features.
