Astec triple switcher suits low-profile telecom apps

Astec Power's LPT81 switching supply is cased in a 76.2-by-127-by-25.4mm package while delivering 3.3V, 5V, and 12V for low-profile (1U) installations in network, telecom, manufacturing, and industrial equipment OEM applications.

The device can deliver up to 13A from each of its two main outputs. The main outputs are user-adjustable over a range of 1.8V to 3.5V, and 3.3V to 5.5V, respectively.

Astec says the LPT81 has features not normally found on power supplies of less than 100W, including overvoltage protection on the main outputs. The OVP rides 20 percent to 35 percent above the output-voltage set point. Additional features include remote-voltage sensing on the main outputs, a remote-inhibit input that controls all outputs and a power fail output signal.
