Silicon Microstructures Inc. has made available its SM5415 and SM5455 pressure sensor in a new, small footprint SIP for through-hole mounting on PCBs and complement the company's previous sensors that were available in DIPs.

The uncompensated pressure sensors are use the company's MEMS-based piezoresistive pressure sensor element and share the characteristics of the DIP-packaged SM5410 and SM5450. They are available in gauge, absolute, or differential configurations and have barbed pressure ports for secure tubing attachment.

The SM5415 is available for pressure ranges 0psi to 5psi up to 0psi to 100psi, while the SM5455 is available for pressure ranges from 0psi to 0.15psi up to 0 psi to 3 psi. Both are designed for medical equipment, HVAC, level detection, barometric pressure monitoring, altimeters, and industrial control applications.
