National Instruments Corp. (NI) has launched its new 379,000 square-foot R&D complex in Austin, Texas, named the Truchard Design Center, in honor of NI CEO and president Dr. James Truchard. The center will serve as the headquarters for the company's R&D efforts in China, Germany, and India.
According to NI, the eight-story Truchard Design Center houses amenities specifically designed for the research of computer-based software and hardware tools. Further, more than 600 miles of fiber-optic cable support workstations throughout the building and each floor can easily accommodate more workstations and computer labs.
With completion of the design center, all 2,000 NI employees based in Austin now work at a single campus. Other buildings at the NI campus in Austin include sales, marketing and customer support building, and a 140,000 square-foot manufacturing facility. |
